Jacksonville Historical Society’s 2012 Gingerbread House Extravaganza – 12/5/2012

The 2012 Gingerbread Extravaganza is a beloved holiday event in its 10th year displaying dozens of gingerbread houses and confection creations by professionals and amateurs. The Extravaganza is located in Jacksonville Historical Society’s Nationally Registered Old St. Andrews church with free parking behind the building. The Gingerbread Extravaganza benefits the children’s programs of the Jacksonville Historical Society.
Next door to Old St. Andrews and the Extravaganza, tour the Historical Society’s Victorian Merrill Museum House 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., a walk through life in Jacksonville 100 years ago. This award-winning museum house is “dressed” for the holidays and ready to showcase the city’s turn-of-the-century history.
A small suggested donation of $5 for adults and $3 for children is appreciated.
