Fashion Industry Christmas Party

When: Tue Dec 18, 2012 7pm to 10pm
EST

Where: Taverna Yamas

Event Status: confirmed

Event Description: Come out for the Fashion Industry Christmas Party. This will be a very special event for all to attend.

We (Kara Bazma / Pink Carpet Club / Black Carpet Club) are inviting potential investors to view our innovative business model and manufacturing approach to making custom made clothes. Local designers will be presenting their collections, where going forward, any item seen could be ordered to be custom made at member prices.

We will have a fashion presentation throughout the night along with a live demonstration of the technology that drives the custom made dress process.

I am inviting everyone who is connected to the Fashion Industry to come out. With capital, we will open up a factory and 2-3 boutique shops. All Fashion related people will have a way of plugging into this venture and the bigger picture of my vision.

Those that want to eat some great Greek food, come out 5-7pm.

More details to come. Mark your calendars and come out!

Background info:

Kara Bazma was a boutique shop located in the Jacksonville Landing (downtown) for 18 months. I shutdown the shop end of June as it became an expensive hobby to maintain.

Kara Bazma will now become the fashion label for myself, and the venture will be re-branded as Pink Carpet Club.

What I have created is software that can resize a pattern to a person's measurements. After entering in the measurements, the software resizes the pattern to their size within as second. The pattern is beamed down to a table via a mounted projector and we cut along the light lines. Its pretty trip and sci-fi looking.

Once the pieces have been cut out, it goes to traditional sewing to assemble. I will be demonstrating this software at the event.

Pink Carpet Club is a brand new business model where women will pay $25/month to be a member of this new buyer and social club.

All dresses, pants, jackets, shirts, vests, hats, purses, etc will be custom made for them to their measurements and choice of fabric.

The pricing of the items follows a simple formula:

+ cost of materials
+ cost of labor
+ $5 to PCC
+ Designers Royalty rate
======
Member Price

This means members are able to purchase most items for around $100! If you wanted more expensive fabrics, its the cost of the fabric that is factored in. The venture only makes $5 in order to keep the costs down (Rather than doubling or tripling the cost like normal boutique markup).

Designers who are in the system will earn money on a per-item basis. This means they are able to continue to be creative and we handle the manufacturing , marketing, and sell of their designs.

PCC will also be a social club. Besides monthly fashion shows to showcase what new items are being entered into the system, we will go to the theater, movies, restaurants, clubs, and events to be around other like minded fashionable people.

One joke I have heard about Jacksonville, is all dressed up and no place to go. There are so many great gems of places to go. PCC will show you those places as destinations to get dressed up and have fun!

Men aren't left out, there is Black Carpet Club. I am currently designing a men's shirt that will allow men to have a custom made shirt, their choice of fabric, for around $50!

My Express shirts are more than that , and even though they are more tailored, they still don't fit me right (my neck is thin and have long arms).

We will also be making clothing for babies to teens.

The goal of PCC/BCC is to make custom made clothing affordable for everyone. The Membership fee helps us to keep the prices down to around cost, while providing additional value with the social twist.

The model is to franchise the store so that each city will have multiple stores, where the centralized factory is back here in Jacksonville.
