Ballet for Belly Dancers:
Ballet is a foundational movement style and cross-training in ballet provides structure and a common vocabulary beneficial to performers of all dance backgrounds.
In this workshop, Yana will teach you ballet techniques tailored to help belly dancers increase balance, fluidity, strength and grace. This workshop includes precise ballet-inspired exercises to condition the body for efficient and graceful dancing, with additional postures, steps and combinations that can easily be incorporated into any dance routine.
Yana willl go over technique demonstration and glossary of ballet terminology, drills and combinations to take your dancing to the next level!
3pm-4:30pm
Emotional Artistry:
Join Yana, famed for her brilliant character portrayals, facial expression and deep connection with her inner emotions as she is dancing, for a 1.5 hour intensive on how to do just that! Learn how to connect with your feelings and how to show your emotional artistry through not only your face, but your body as well! Turn your dancing into true self expression! This is the crowning jewel to your performance, and one that is often overlooked. Don't miss this unique and amazing opportunity to master such an important skill!
