PLEASE HELP ME – HELP THESE KIDS
Can you believe it's already that time of year again? I hope we can all come together once more and bring a little touch of Christmas to the children in Jacksonville that are homeless (at the Sulzbacher Center and Gateway Community Services) during the Holiday Season, by no fault of their own.
No matter what you have going on in your life, can you imagine a child waking up Christmas morning in a homeless shelter? What a heartbreaking thought!!!!
That is why along, with Major Steve Weintraub, and the Police Athletic League, I am asking you to help these precious children at this time of year.
On December 20,2012, we will be taking around 200 kids to Wal-Mart on Phillips Hwy. to meet Santa Claus and be escorted around the store by JSO's finest and Jacksonville Fire and Rescue to get toys and clothes. Most of all, we will let these children know that we have a community that cares!!!
We desperately need your help as we need to raise approximately $20,000. Any amount you can donate will make a difference and 100% of your donation goes to the kids for Christmas. In addition we would like to invite all who can, to come to the Wal-Mart on
December 20th at 9:00 am. Experience the joy and hope of these kids as they come alive with gratitude knowing people care about them.
I know times are tough for a lot of folks. So, if you can't donate financially you can still donate your time and watch the faces of these kids light up!!!
