Presented by Songwriters Showcases of America, the Songwriters Showcases of America will be bringing a new music festival to Jacksonville this year, which will be held on Saturday, October 5th at multiple venues throughout the downtown district. The event will be called the Jacksonville Original Music Festival which will feature over 125 acts at 13 or more stage locations. The main location for the event will be held at the Jacksonville Landing which will feature 9 stages consisting of two main stages. The 1st main stage will be located at the Landing courtyard and the 2nd main stage will be located on Hogan St next to the Landing. The other stage locations will be held at nearby venues throughout The Elbow including 1904 Music Hall, Underbelly, among others to be announced…
The festival will feature a wide array of musical styles from mostly local and regional acts for all ages to enjoy consisting of Rock, Jazz, Blues, Country, Bluegrass, Hip Hop, Electronica, Industrial, Folk, Metal, Ska and more, Other activities include a wide variety of vendors and artist. The events main mission is to create a family fun festival atmosphere and to enhance Jacksonville’s downtown live music scene.
Discounted Advanced All Venue VIP Passes will go on sale online on July 14th at www.ssa.cc. The All Venue Passes enables attendees access to all the VIP seating areas at the events main stages as well as access to all the venues that require an admission. Tickets are $10 Advance or $15 on the day of the event. (Children ages 12 & under FREE) The Event will be held RAIN OR SHINE.
The SSA has been producing music events and festivals since 1999 throughout central FL including DeLand, Daytona and Orlando and last year in NYC. The SSA projects to continue holding this event on an Annual basis in Downtown Jacksonville in addition to continuing holding its other regularly held festivals.
